Each year we do one project that is outside of the ordinary agricultural calendar. In 2019, we hired a lovely entrepreneurial team of brothers to build a new grain shed. Here’s the earth-moving part of the project. .

MIDNIGHT EXCURSION .
The two times of year when we quite often take night shifts are lambing season and during harvest. A sudden downpour can wreck a year’s work - so a few sleepless nights are a price well worth paying.
THE SHED: ON TOP OF THE WORLD
The final period of putting the shed up was a bit like having trapeze artists performing in your back yard. An unforgettable period which produced some very striking images.
SEEDING THE FUTURE .
Some people associate autumn with winding down. In fact it’s a time when we prepare the ground for the coming year. The tillage of the future is to interfere as little as possible. Something made possible by measuring instruments that are now a vital part of everything we do.
